Take a two-day sojourn through the groves and vineyards of the Peloponnese and find yourself in the heartland of kings and heroes. Venture to the Nemean Valley, famous for its monsters and its wine, and stroll among the ruins of ancient Corinth, once considered the cultural epicenter of Greece. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon shopping and dining in the Venetian port of Nafplio where cars are not allowed and visit the Palamidi fortress. Sit on the stone benches of the ancient theater of Epidaurus where the acoustics are so perfect it is still in use for performances today. Of course no trip to the south of Greece would be complete without time by the Aegean sea, soaking in its salt waters and being warmed by the Mediterranean sun.
