Detailed Itinerary
ATHENS
Day 1: Old neighborhoods of Athens, Plaka, Monastiraki, Thisseion
After being greeted at the airport your driver will take you to your residence to get settled.
Enjoy a leisurely afternoon strolling the ancient neighborhood of Plaka as the rest of your party
collects. Once everyone is together we commemorate the trip with dinner at a traditional Greek
taverna.
ATHENS
Day 2: City Tour, Acropolis, Museum, Sounio, Temple of Poseidon
Visit the most important sites in one of civilization’s oldest cities, starting with the Acropolis. Tour
includes the Acropolis Museum, historic neighborhood of Plaka, Temple of Zeus, Panathenaic
Stadium, National Gardens, Change of the Guard in front of Parliament, Monastiraki (flea market)
and more. After a short respite continue south along the coast to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape
Sounion for a seaside dinner.
KEA ISLAND
Day 3: Port of Lavrio, Seaside of Kea
In the morning you are picked up and driven to the port of Lavrio, embarking on a ferry ride to the
main village of the island of Kea. After you’re helped to settle in your new place spend an afternoon
relaxing by the sea.
KEA ISLAND
Day 4: Boat tour around the island, Temple of Karthea
We will spend the day touring the island by boat. You will see the less-visited northern part of the
island and be presented with options depending on the weather and feel of the group. Options
include an hour long hike to the well-preserved ancient city of Karthea where you can also take a
swim, lunch and shopping in Vourkari, popular with locals and yachters, or just allowing the wind to
carry you on your own Greek odyssey.

Day 5: Option 1: day at the beach, Monastery of Kastriani ; Option 2 : Port of Lavrio, Osios Loukas, Arachova, Delfi,"center of the universe"
Those who want to take an optional continental excursion will depart in the morning. For those who
wish to stay on the island you can hike, visit the Panagia Kastriani Monastery, or relax at a private
beach and swim in the Aegean.
ATHENS
Day 6: Farewell
In the morning you are picked up and taken on a journey to the center of the universe- the Ancient
site of Delphi. Visit the ruins and archaeological museum before a traditional lunch in the village of
Delphi. The long drive home is perfect for a good nap.
